Erie’s Romeo qualifies for Match Play in USGA Junior

Erie’s Austin Romeo, Kahkwa, qualified for match play in the USGA Junior Amateur Championship at Trump National GC, Bedminster, New Jersey, with 76-76–152, making the cut by two strokes.  He faces Wyndham Clark, Greenwood Springs, Colorado, on Wednesday morning.

Romeo is the second player this month to advance to match play in a USGA Championship as Sean Knapp, Oakmont, qualified for the Amateur Public Links last week with 71-71–142, then lost in the first round.
