Wheatcroft’s t-2 cashes $168,000

After recording a t-17 last week, Washington, PA, native Steve Wheatcroft, fired 68-67-67-70–272 in the PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open. His showing was good for a 3rd place tie, three strokes behind Derrick Lamely, at Trump International GC, Rio Grande, PR, the best ever on the Tour for the 2004 West Penn Open champion.

Wheatcroft won $168,000, and his total money of just over $245,000 is good for 91st on the PGA Tour Money List, more than he won all last season on the Nationwide Tour. During the 2009 season, Wheatcroft won over $200,000 and finished 20th on the money list to gain his 2010 PGA Tour playing privileges.  He also played the PGA Tour in 2008.
