Wheatcroft leads area golfers with T-3 at Mylan Classic

Playing in the last group on Sunday, Washington native Steve Wheatcroft, a PGA Tour player, hung on to finish t-3 at the Nationwide Tour’s Mylan Classic, played at Southpointe GC in Canonsburg, September 2-5. He shot 70-65-68-71–271, finishing three shots behind the winner Kevin Kisner. Two errant tee shots on the back nine were costly for Wheatcroft. His finish was good for a $34,800 check.
