Three area golfers are slated for the NCAA Division I Regionals, May 19-21. Oakmont’s Nathan Sutherland, Miami, OH, competes at Wolf Run GC, Zionsville, Indiana, as an individual, as does Brookville’s C.G. Mercatoris, Robert Morris. He will play at Colorado National GC, Erie, Colorado. Cleveland State University, champions of the Horizon Conference will play at The Farms GC in San Diego, led by conference medalist, Michael Klaric, Hermitage. Pittsburgh’s Adam Hofmann, Vanderbilt, qualified as an individual and will compete at Pete Dye River Course in Blacksburg, Virginia.
In the Womens’ Division I National Finals to be played May 18-21 at Texas A&M, Ohio State will be led by Waynesburg’s Rachel Rohanna, last year’s recipient of the Frank Fuhrer, III, Award for outstanding collegiate play.
