Six to compete in PGA Tour second stage

The following golfers with local ties will play at qualifying sites in the PGA Tour Qualifying School’s Second Stage in November.

At  Plantation Preserve GC&C, Florida, Brendon Todd, Altlanta.Bo Todd played as a youngster at Rolling Hills.  He was medalist in the finals at last year’s qualifying school.

At Southern Hills Plantation, Brooksville, Florida–Bobby MacWhinnie, who played at St. Clair in his junior days.  He advanced throught the first stage last month.

At Hombre GC, Panama City, Florida–four players are entered.
Jon Mills, Indiana, PA, who played the web.com Tour this season
Sam Saunders, Orlando, Florida, the grandson of Arnold Palmer
Justin Smith, St. Paul, Minnesota; he advanced thru to the first stage last month.
Steve Wheatcroft, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, who played the PGA Tour this season with just under $200,000 in winnings.

Among the 400 plus contestants scheduled in Second Stage are Woody Austin, Notah Begay, Rich Beem, Patrick Cantlay, Bubba Dickerson, David Duval, Todd Hamilton, Billy Hurley, Lee Janzen, Kelly Kraft, Hank Kuehne, Danny Lee, Frank Lickliter, Len Mattiace, Sean Micheel, Jesper Parnevik, and Jordan Spieth.  This field includes major champions, past US Amateur champions, and Ryder Cup players.
